MyChild Services Ltd - Private Educational Psychology Services

About Us

MyChild Services Ltd is a family-run business with a growing network of specialist Psychologists across the country. It was started by husband and wife team Dr Fatima Bignell and Dr Simon Bignell who, as parents themselves, noticed that there was a growing need for a no-nonsense private educational Psychology service that avoided the inflexible and expensive private consultancy model. Their aim is to deliver fixed-price quality packages that assist parents, teachers and Local Authorities in helping children achieve their full potential. They use the latest evidence-based techniques driven by academic knowledge and front-line experience.

MyChild Services is also connected to a team of Associates. These are experienced chartered Psychologists and Educational Psychologists with a variety of specialisms across the country. This means that it is possible to provide expert services specifically tailored to each client’s needs. As Dr Bignell states…“We work within a regulated framework and share the view that children’s needs are defined by a complex interaction of systems. Difficulties they experience do not exist in isolation from school, family and community, and this has important implications for how we work with those who seek our help.”

MyChild Services have a dedicated 'test bank' of specialist cognitive and educational psychometric tests and assessments coupled with a wide skill set to address a large range of educational concerns. Used in combination with observations and case history analyses, amongst other techniques, they are able to offer a wide range of direct psychological services to parents, schools and Local Authorities.
